"The Raven" Cover

Ok So I did a few more stanzas! I'm very busy coding but I managed to cover some more. The poem is still very large though!

If you haven't yet, read The first few stanzas to catch up.

The Client

And the colorful, bright, uncertain glow from my keyboard
Thrilled me—filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
“’Tis some co-worker entreating entrance at my office door—
Some late co-worker entreating entrance at my office door;—
This it is and nothing more.”

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
“Sir,” said I, “or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was typing, so your presence here is striking,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my office door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you”—here I opened wide the door;—
Darkness there and nothing more.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no coder ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
Like my progress I stood, frozen, squinting ‘til my eyes grew sore
But saw no-one, so I spun round, bracing myself for the war
‘gainst the cursed bugs galore

Back into the office turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
“Surely,” said I, “surely there is someone in my office lobby;
another coder, making coffee, and this office they explore—
Waiting for the brew to finish and this office they explore;—
’Tis that man and nothing more!”

"The Raven" Cover

I started working on my cover of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" today. It is a very long poem so I don't know when I'll be finished my final cover. However, I have covered a couple stanzas!

The Client

Once upon a workday dreary, while I programmed, weak and weary,
Over many quaint and curious volume of code abhored-
I was typing, keyboard clacking, suddenly there came a tapping,
As if someone gently rapping, rapping on my office door
"'Tis some co-worker," I muttered, "tapping at my office door- only this and nothing more."

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December
And each seperate error message piled up, more and more
Eagerly I sought the morrow; vainly, I had sought to borrow
From Github a wisdom morsel - code to fix the bugs galore
So to staunch the endless stream of bugs galore
Which break my code for evermore

So! What do you think?

"The Road Not Taken" Cover

This is my cover of Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken", but it's about the two most popular software lifecycles: Agile and Waterfall. I dedicate it to my Software Design III professor, Dr. Scott. Enjoy!

The Cycle Not Taken

Two project life cycles torment me
And sorry I could pursue but one
To build a product successfully.
I thought 'bout waterfall briefly,
And pondered if it should be done

And I took the other, new and strange
And having perhaps the better claim
'cause it's iteration fostered change
Though a new method could my team derange
And I'd rather not set my team aflame

So, my dilemma still did lay
A puzzle I could just not crack
Oh, I used waterfall the other day
Yet knowing how change builds 'long the way
I doubted if I should ever go back

So listen, those who are in this bind
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two cycles diverged in a project of mine
I took the one with change in mind
And that has made all the difference
